Second month sans period.
posted 16th Nov
So it's now the 38th day since my period "should" have started. I've only had one since giving birth to my son this past May, which spanned the week of 9-15 September. I've tested twice, once as recently as the 11th of this month. Both came back very negative. I haven't had any symptoms of pregnancy, or at least any noticeable ones. I am, however, starting to get a little anxious. I know stress and worry can prolong your menstrual cycle, but it's not like I've been paranoid the whole time. It's just starting to make me think.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you breatfeeding?

Not since August. I guess I should've included that bit.

I went without a period for 9 months, then got one, then there was another 3 months break, and then they were regular after that. But I was breastfeeding. Hope that helps.

No pumping either?
I didn't get my first until 13 months pp but I was EBF. I would make an appointment with your doctor, they will probably want to know what's going on if you're not having a period without any obvious reason.

Yeh, no pumping. Switched to formula. Should it just be with my regular family doctor? I don't have a specific women's wellness physician that I see.

Who did your prenatal care and delivered your baby?
If you don't have a gyro just go see your primary care provider and they will make a decision as far as referring you to an OB/GYN or running tests.

Had an OB for prenatal but switched to a midwife just before the delivery. I don't stay in contact with either of them, but I might be able to go back to the birthing center for it.

It wouldn't hurt to call and ask but I know the birthing center near me only does births, nothing else. You don't even stay over, you just have your baby, get dressed and go home.
