I'm married to a man who doesn't believe "making love" in a sexual way is possible.
He said it's smurfing and that's that.

I almost feel offend by this? I mean I think it's possible to make love. I have "made love" to him before and I think it offends me because he hasn't "made love" with me? I have no idea...
What are your opinions?

Well I guess. But I suppose it offends me just because he doesn't often express nor show how much he apparently cares. And for him to go off and say things like that just make it seem even worse.

I think you are over analyzing it.

You're overthinking things

sex isn't always as emotional for men as it can be for women......it doesn't mean that he doesn't love you during sex though. Calm down and stop thinking about it like that.

I think maybe you are just feeling sensitive over what he is calling it. I think we sometimes want it to be more romantic, loving, softer, etc ... and with your SO calling it 'smurfing' maybe you're not feeling that? I am just guessing here though. There is no difference in the actions, maybe just the title is bugging you? I don't think you have anything to worry about though. Sex is sex no matter what you call it.  

I believe in making love as well...but try not to be offended by it. Even if he doesn't see it the same way as you, he obviously loves you. I mean you are married to him  . Just don't look into it too much

In a sense I think so. When we met things were so much different from now. He doesn't hardly ever do anything sweet or thoughtful for me anymore. And for him to go on this big rant last night about that on our anniversary I was just like like what the hell... You didn't exactly have to tell me that.
