re: Losing teeth, and the tooth fairy?

SO's daughter lost her first two teeth at 5, SO just took all the change in his pocket, some were loonies and toonies ($1 & $2) and put it under her pillow. She was so excited seeing all the different shapes and sizes of the change and put it in her piggy bank one by one.. it was really cute  .

My oldest was 7 when she started losing her teeth. She technically lost two teeth the "first"time. She lost one though so the tooth fairy left her $5 for both teeth and a special note.

I'm think I'm going to be that lame parent who says that the tooth fairy brings books   I have no shame.

DS lost his first two teeth at 5, for his first tooth the tooth fairy brought him an awesome piggy bank a lollipop and $5 since it was the first one. After that he gets $1 per tooth and a lollipop. The night before the tooth fairy came for the first time he was convinced the tooth fairy leaves lollipops and well I couldnt break his heart  

I think the book idea is awesome!

Nah. I dont think so. Just tell them that the tooth fairy brings everyone something different, that suites them. Some kids get money cause they are picky kids, then tell them they get books because the tooth fairy knows they love to read. lol

My daughter lost her first 2 at the age of 5. I give her between $5-$10 per tooth. I shouldn't have given that much tho...now that I did it once, she expects it every time. 

DD lost her first tooth at 4 yrs old. She is now 6 yrs old and has lost 7 teeth.

She gets .25 to .50 per tooth and we put it into her piggy bank. Once her piggy bank is full we deposit it into her savings account.
