constipation

its terrible!.. i haven't been able to go for days!! its causing my temper to go crazy n my head to hurt :S i tried coffee that used to work fine n now has no effect -although i shouldn't  - n even medication isn't doing me any good! am afraid it will affect my pregnancy! can anyone give me a useful hint or is having the same issue?
please help !.. i'm desperate

Are you taking prenatals? When I was pregnant with DS I tried everything to go and nothing worked and I saw someone on here mention the extra iron in prenatals can cause constipation so I switched to regular vitamins and within a day or two I was fine.

no not yet i jus finished my 12th week n am only takin folic acid n some hormone,
my dr said prenatals arent necessary jus yet

I'm having the same problem. It's to the point where my SO thinks it's funny. Our conversation earlier went like this:

Blahblah talktalktalk
Him: [interrupting me.] Be right back I gotta smurf.
Me: Gross I don't need to know that.
Him: You jealous?
Me: Yea, a little :'(

Omg u feel the same way I do never in my life have I experience this type of feeling but I dnt like it one bit

I was pretty stopped up in my first trimester too, that ended probably 2 weeks into my second trimester [which was wonderful lol.]

Second trimester is pure bliss, I complained the whole time but it is nothing compared to the first and third trimester.

I didn't have problems until the second tri. The only thing that helpes me was to drink alot of water take fiber pills and also collace(stool softner). I added more fruit and yogurt to my diet. Just be carefulo with the yogurt to much can make it worse. It was horrible for me I wouldn't go for almost 2 wks. Try doing what I did. Hope it helps GL

i took milk of magnesia....it helped after about 2 days...or you could go stool softener. i feel your pain, it is miserable!!!!! i was in your shoes last weekend  

I was dealing with that a few weeks ago.. now the opposite is happening.

fiber, fiber, fiber. Im still constipated after giving birth. Any advice ive gotten is to just eat a lot of fiber. My mom said to go and get a bunch of celery and just eat a whole bunch of it
