I agree about the slide, but in an infant swing I don't think they're too young.

Where in the world do they not have infant swings? lol. It's like a plastic shell and there is a part that snaps between their legs so they can't fall out.

The "baby" swings at our public park aren't like that. They just have spots for their legs to fit in. These you buy from like Walmart and put on the swing set at home.

Not until he was almost 1 but that's because most of the parks don't have those swings. We finally found out about a month ago around his birthday. He wasn't a huge fan.

I put my son on the swings as soon as he could hold himself up but wouldn't swing like a nutcase and put a sweater over the front and back so he didn't bang his face/head just in case.

Late but I'll contribute...I let LO get in a swing around 8 months or so but, that was a REAL baby swing, it sort of reclines for smaller babies and you strap them in like a car seat. It looks like a swinging car seat bit at around 12 months he used the regular baby swing. He loved it.

DD was 9 months old. I think if a baby is falling forward and not holding themselves up against the back of the swing they're too young. I see it all the time, eager moms putting their 6 month olds in there and the baby just flops forward against the front of the swing
