Pre e

posted 15th Nov
Hello everyone, I have not posted in awhile but now complications are happening. First I had my gender ultrasound when I was 18 weeks and found out I'm having a little boy. Anyway they noticed he had extra fluid(urine) in his left kidney. They really didn't say much and that they will do another ultrasound when I'm 28 weeks to see if it went away. The only thing they said to me is its more common in boys. So if you has a boy did this ever happen to your baby and was he ok. My second question is about pre e. my blood pressure has been around 110/60 until today. At my appt this morning my blood pressure was 146/96 and they got concerned. I have to do a 24 he urine and go from there. I'm only 21 weeks and concerned that I maybe developing pre e. there was also protein in my urine. So having my Bp go up this early and high so fast am I at higher risk for pre e. also could having back to back pregnancies cause this. My daughter is only 7 1/2 months old. This pregnancy was not planned, I was on the Nuva ring. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

where you stressed before you went/ during your apointment because that can bring your blood pressure up.

I had pre-e when i was pregnant with my son and I had low blood pressure untill about 29 weeks and it was 130/70 then continued to go up with medication to lower it. When I delivered at 34 weeks my blood pressure was 164/108 it made my face feel like it was on fire i use to put cold bottles or ice in towels on my face to help make it feel better.

As for the extra urine I didn't have that with my first son and they havn't mentioned anything with this pregnancy either and it's a boy as well.

Thanks for the reply, however, I was not stressed before my appt. I was looking forward to hearing my baby's heart beat and thought it was going to be a normal appt. I'm really concerned because I didn't have a single issue with my daughter. I don't know if this really matters but I'm only measuring 18 weeks instead of 21. I know they say 2 weeks ahead or behind is normal. I can say I'm stressing now.

I would do the urine test and talk with your doctor about blood pressure meds the one they had me on also had an added affect of calming the uterus so you wouldn't contract as much. The only other thing i can suggest is get plenty of rest avoid getting up or laying down real fast, as well as trying to stay relaxed and as calm as possible maybe a bath or doing something you enjoy to help keep your stress level down.

Thank you for your advice and I sure will use it. All I know is this baby still has 19 weeks of baking to do and I will do whatever I can to keep him cooking. Thank you again. I will post again when I get my results back next week sometime.

honsetly i wouldnt worry about the blood pressure. just because the more you worry the more stressed your gonna be going in.. ive never had a sign of high blood pressure until a few weeks ago it got really high and and they sent me to labor and deliver the baby was compleltey fine and they made me do a 24 hr urine test and my protein came back 418 but they didnt worry about it. but i am farther along than you im 36 weeks now. high blood pressure started when i was 32 weeks they told me as long as it hung around 130 that they were going to wait until i was 36 weeks the other day my ob told me to hang in there til 38 weeks.. so there gonna try and get you as far as long as possible so the baby wil be fine.. but idk about the pre e they tested me but i dont think i was getting it.. also he told me the reason my blood pressure was up was bc the baby is putting off a chemical in me and making me sick but anyway im sure youll be fine...sorry so long...
