Even if you have extra iron in your vitamin, make sure you are eating iron rich foods! The best sources are meat. But make sure you don't pair it with calcium-rich foods or anything with caffeine. Iron is best absorbed when paired with Vitamin-C, so drink some 100% juice with your meal (or if you don't like juice, go with fresh fruit).
I can tell when I'm not getting enough iron (which was a problem even before the pregnancy) because not only will I be exhausted all the time and freezing, my mood plummets and I get depressed really easily.
