What is this..

So on and off today I've been having random sharp pains under the right side of my bottom ribs. I just ignored it since it wasn't that bad. Well after dinner it seemed to get worse. I can't take deep breaths without it hurting so I'm taking very quick short breaths but its still not helping   What could it possibly be?
I just took some ibuprofen to see if it would help but the pain is really bothering me. Any ideas ladies?

My fiancé just said that's where he gets pain which we've researched and found his symptoms to align with gall bladder problems. He doesn't have insurance so we don't know for sure but he follows a gall bladder diet and it helps. If he eats crappy he gets it back again or when he drinks beer.

Random question. Are gallbladder problems hereditary? My mom had to have hers removed after she had me that's why I'm asking.

I can nearly guarantee its gallbladder related! Perhaps make a drs appt... but if it gets worse go to er! I was floored by my pains

Gall bladder pain is usually right in the middle of your torso, right below where your ribs meet in the middle. I developed gall stones when my son was 2 weeks old and had to have surgery to have it removed. For me it was the worst pain I ever felt in my life and I had to be rushed to the ER twice, but it's not like that for most people. If you are anything fatty that may be what it is. I had to be on a fat free diet while I waited for my surgery. They say coffee can help with gall stones, so maybe try drinking some coffee. Don't drink anything carbonated. Dear god that was the worst idea I ever had in my life.

Damn. Okay thanks ladies! I was really hoping it wasn't my gallbladder. I normally don't eat fatty foods but decided to cheat tonight because they looked so dang good lol. But I do drink a lot of carbonated beverages. I will be calling to make an appointment with my doctor in the morning. If it gets worse I'll be calling my mom to take me to the hospital.
