How far along were you when you told people you were pregnant? I dont have FB so I will tell people as I go I guess. SO and I want to wait until we are 12 weeks or even further because with my first pregnancy I told so many people right away because we were thrilled, had an early miscarriage and it was devastating. Im not sure how long we will wait though. How long did you wait? Did you wish you had told sooner or later?

I announced it right when we found out at like 3.2 weeks! I couldn't hold in the excitement after trying for so long. And I did have an early miscarriage at the beginning of trying which I did not announce right away. I just had a feeling and I have a good feeling this time

We told family and close friends when we found out. I didn't tell work until my second trimester which is when we also made it "Facebook official" lol :/

The first pregnancy I told everyone about 12 weeks in.
My second pregnancy I told everyone as soon as we found out and had a miscarriage.
This time I will tell everyone after my appointment tomorrow. We get our 2nd ultrasound tomorrow and will have a good pic for an announcement.

We started telling people (outside of close friends and family) when I was 12-14 weeks.

I waited till after our 12 week scan before we told anyone.

My dad, step mom, aunt, best friend & the baby's father knew the day I found out (I was 4 1/2 weeks). I waited to announce it to all other friends & family after I got my first ultrasound at 5 1/2 weeks.

With our first we announced it at 18 weeks with the "It's a boy!" ultrasound picture on Facebook. My mom knew before my husband (bf at the time) because she was there when I took the test and we told his parents when I was like 15 weeks, I think. With this one we announced it around 7 or 8 weeks if I'm not mistaken, but again we told our parents as soon as we got the positive test.

With my daughter, we didn't tell anyone until I was almost 17 weeks. Mainly for the reason we were young, unmarried, and scared of the responses we'd get.
Then the other pregnancy that we announced, it was right about 9 weeks. We were going to wait until the second trimester, but we also wanted to tell our families in person instead of online/phone. Which we ended up going home when I was 9 weeks, so we decided to tell them then. Then after both of our entire families knew, we couldn't hold it in and we posted a picture of Kenz wearing a shirt that said, "This little cupcake is going to be a big sister!" Unfortunately, I lost that baby right at about 17 weeks..
After that, we've decided we're going to wait to announce until at least 15 weeks or when I start really showing, just to be on the safe side.

when we heard the heartbeat!

The day I found out I was pregnant I was so excited. I told my mom instently, se was disappointed in me for still being in high school. She then was happy to be a grandmother and we started to talk about names. Later that day I told my sister (she's 13) she was super excite and said she wanted to go shopping with me for baby cloths. My dad has been dead for 12 years do I didn't have to tell him. Last was my fiancé, I wanted it to be special so I put the prenency test into a cute little gift box and added a bow. When he came from work I gave him the gift. He opened it and was shocked. We then talked for a few hours about abortion I apposed it. He then brought up adoption and I said I want to keep him or her. He said it was over and left me. Havnt seen him since.

I announced my first pregnancy right away. I didn't get to announce my second one. I announced my third one at 10 weeks, then found out the next day that my baby didn't have a heartbeat. I didn't get to announce my fourth one. If I get pregnant again, I won't tell anyone until after it's born. I'm jaded.

We've told as soon as we found out with each pregnancy. First 2 pregnancies went fine, and we had 2 daughters. 3rd pregnancy, we lost our son at 19 weeks. We're now on our 4th pregnancy, and still told people right away.
As I see it, why wait? I'd much rather have people know and have support through hard times if something does happen. It's better than going into thinking things will go bad. Feels too negative.
Obviously everyone has their own ways to do things, so tell when you want to.
Hope all goes well!

I feel ya there. It'd be impossible to keep it from immediate family, just because since we live so far away from them and only see them twice a year when DH is stateside, I'd feel bad keeping it from them. But we'll definitely be keeping it to ourselves for the first half and then keeping it off social networking sites completely until it's born.
