Discharge Question

TMI Alert:
I was sitting on the chair just now and I felt like I was peeing on myself. I ran to the bathroom and there was a lot of runny white discharge in my panties. No smell or anything. Is this normal at 28 weeks? I'm tempted to call L&D, but I have a doctor's appointment at 9:30 in the morning.

Call the doctor and see what they say. did it stop? Was there a lot?

It was a lot and I can still feel it leaking. I had a few cramps right before it started. I just called L&D and they said that it was just the normal discharge.

wait until you get a thick mucus comming out i would show u a pic but its pretty gross but look up what a mucus plug looks like if you see that with pink or blood in it call your doc immediately

I haven't seen that yet. I just worry because at this point with my son, they kept saying I was fine and turns out I was 3cm dilated and had to go on meds and bedrest. L&D says there's no need to come in, so I'm waiting it out until my appointment. Lucky for me, it's at 830.

Ummm if it's still coming out, I would go in anyways. Or call your own doctor and see if they can see you today. If it's your water leaking you can get a serious infection.

oh wow and your so early in your pregnancy to be on bedrest that would be awful i didnt start loosing a lil bit of my plug till about 30ish weeks i dont get how your already 3 cm dilated but i heard you could b dilated for a month or more and be fine just as long u dont have severe cramps and your not bleeding and your water hasnt broke yet. but good luck

My doctor's office is closed but she's also the head of L&D division at the hospital.   Waiting on a call back from her.

With my son, I started losing my mucus plug between 26-28 weeks. I spent a lot of time in L&D. Even on the medicine to stop contractions, I was still dilating. It didn't stop until they put me on bedrest. Then I was at 3cm for 2 months.
