Waters Leaking?
posted 15th Nov
Hi ladies. I'm asking a question, as I remember what happened with my first labor, but some things leave a blank. Just a few minutes ago, I went to use the restroom and saw my panties were a little wet ( sorry TMI ). And I'm not sure if its me peeing a little or my waters leaking. I remember my waters leaking with my son, after I had taken my shower, I sat on a chair and it was wet afterwards. ( which normally happens after a shower ) but either way I went to the hospital and they checked me and it was my waters leaking. And so they induced me and everything. Anyways.... MY question is I already put a pad on and I'm not sure if I should wait a few hours and see if my pad is wet or if I should go to L&D right away, considering I have my 37 week appointment in the morning at 11AM. But I also heard if you wait too long after noticing that intections can happen with the baby and everything. I just wanted to ask other moms, as I have tried googling everything & can't seem to find anything.
Also, is there ever the case that my water would leak with this baby too? Since it happened with my first child. I know all pregnancies are different, but I thought I'd ask! Thanks mamas.

I just wasn't sure whether I should wait a little bit and then go to L&D or just forget about it and wait till morning since I have a baby appointment tomorrow. That was just what I was wondering.

I believe you are supposed to deliver within 24 hours of your water breaking, to prevent infection. if you continue to have fluid and have cramping or contractions then go in otherwise I would wait til tomorrow.

Myob told me to go straight to the er if you experience any leaking and dont know wheater its pee or not. SO my opinion i would say go to l&d better safe than sotry. No harm with going in.
