Usually the only time you can be cited for it and have points added to ur license is if the cops were called on the scene. If they weren't there when it happened, them coming and pinning it on u after the fact will hurt them more than u and u can fight it and will most likely win.

It's not even a friend.    

I got drunk, like really drunk. Then decided I needed to leave where I was immediately, so I was calling for rides and this person was outside and overhead me, so he offered to give me a ride in my car, so I wouldn't have to come back and get it the next day and he'd have his friends follow, so he'd have a ride.

Then wrecked my car, left the scene, and this is what I end up with.

I had to call the cops, because of the damage to my car. No tickets were issued then, because I wasn't driving.. but I'm worried that since the case is still open (while trying to find the driver), if my insurance just says I was the driver to close their investigation and get my claim rolling, that they'll try and pin the citations on me? If that makes sense.

Keep fighting it. You shouldn't get sited for something you didn't do. It's better this happened than you drove drunk and what possibilities could have incurred then as sucky as this situation is now.

As for him, karma will get him.

Yeah, honestly I was lucky to be able to walk away from the wreck. But that's another thing, like literally all my witnesses on their own have said, "You know, I might not have seen who she got in the car with, but as well as I do know her, I know she has never gotten behind the wheel after drinking." So, you think after 5+ people would say that or something similar, they'd realize that.

This entire thing sucks, but I know it'll work out in the end. At least, I really hope so.
