Bean Soup Recipe?

I usually make my soup with a leftover ham bone and dried beans that I soak over night----but I won't have a ham bone til next week (we make ham and turkey both for thanksgiving), so I was hoping to do something a bit different.

I have canned beans of all kinds (we love beans) and lots of dried beans (black, pinto, navy)--but I don't think they'd soak enough to be used for dinner tonight  

Anyone have a recipe? I have leftover chicken and pork loin I can use and I have bacon. And just about every seasoning possible, haha. And tons of veggies.

Anyone?

I usually make mine with ham also, but i have replaced it with bacon before. You could do that. I'll see if i can find the recipe i use online.

ETA: this is the recipe i use when i'm not making stock from a ham bone, and again you can replace the ham with bacon or probably any meat really.

I used hamburger this past week, but also use ground sausage sometimes.

I do 4 cans of beans. One red kidney bean, 2 white beans and 1 other of whatever. Rinse well and put in the crock pot. Then I use a large can of whole canned tomatoes, drain the juice into the crock pot and chop the tomatoes, toss them in. A whole chopped onion. One red bell pepper, one orange bell better chopped. A can of corn or frozen corn. Season with chili powder, parsley, salt and pepper stir in the browned meat. Add water so the ingredients are almost all the way covered and leave it for 6 hours on low. We like not watery soup.

That's chili. I make chili all the time. In fact, we had it on Sunday.

Thanks anyway, I just want a bean soup that isn't just bean/ham or chili.

IMO that is not chili. I make chili and it's not like the recipe above at all.

Anyway I hope you find a good recipe for some kind of non-ham bean soup

With fewer peppers and black beans instead of white, that's pretty much chili---or at least similar enough in flavors that it would just seem redundant.
