Yeah has never choked on it but she could. The only reason to do that is for reflux. It's lazy to not feed it by spoon

The cereal in the bottle, the water to hold him over, all bad dangerous choices. Do some research.

Well ya only start by putting like a 1/4 Tsp per ounce then up it like a week later to 1/2Tsp and so on. They won't choke!!

I agree with this. At 4 months old you shouldn't be giving them something to "hold them over". I think you should feed them whenever they are hungry. Water is for hydration which babies get from formula and breast milk therefore they do not need it.

As long as they have reflux I don't have a problem but problem is they may not have choked but someone else's may

I agree with that statement, which is why I asked the question is it ok to give her a little to just play with. YIKES to this debate. lol. So I think it's just common sense that water to hold over till next feeding is well STUPID. babies eat when hungry, cereal in the bottle that's LAZY, yeah they make a mess in our house cereal ='s bath time, bath time equals ='s playtime, playtime is followed by story time, then she's topped off with one last breast feeding then night night as at the moment we have only been giving her cereal once a day because I am just taking a guess that going from strictly breast milk to cereal jumping into 3 times a day is crazy I want her tummy to get used to it first. I have never even heard of cereal used for re-flux but ok I'm not a dr but I feel a chocking hazard is a chocking hazard so why would it be ok to use cereal for that and not just for laziness lol

LOL OK OK OK IS A FEW SIPS OF WATER GONNA KILL MY BABY OR NOT. sorry I really am laughing over here because just wow, if some of you want to risk chocking your baby fine, and if you want to put cereal in a bottle what ever your choice, hell I never microwave my milk I warm in in a bowl of hot water but if some of you want to risk burning your babies well your an idiot for that to, and yes I have seen people prop a bottle, well if anyone baby dies over poor choices I feel so sorry for there loss but I'm not gonna do any of those things with any of MY children. So on that note I'm gonna call her DOCTOR in the morning. Thank you all for trying to help just to many different answers here. I h=got everything from it's fine to your baby could suffer a horrible death and die. But hey it was fun to read some responses. Keep going if you want I'm getting a little chuckle out of it
