I posted above that it was an incorrect spelling. You posted that its actually the Hawaiian spelling. I then remembered that I had Infact seen the spelling before and you were right.

parents can spell a child's name however they want so in the end proper spelling goes out the window... it is a very awesome Biblical name, very strong. There are so many ridiculous names nowadays, I like the old school ones. Good choice!!

Proper spelling doesn't go out the window just because people choose not to use it. It just shows how illiterate people are... it doesn't GO anywhere.

(and that's not directed towards the OP here since she came pretty close. I mean people who turn like Malachi into Malyka-ii)
