DH cooked something Wonderful for me

Yesterday I got a terrible migraine and actually had to leave work only an hour in.

I fell asleep late afternoon/early evening, an when I woke up the kids were home and DH had pulled up a recipe for my favorite Hungarian dish (I'm Hungarian) and was busy in the kitchen cooking it for about two hours.

We cook together every night, and sometimes he does simple meals alone, but this was extravagant.
How sweet of him! It definitely helped me feel a bit better and tasted amazing to boot!

I'm lithuanian! We are sort of related then! But the question is you actually like eastern european food?

Hungarian and Bosnian are really good. My great grandparents immigrated here from Hungary and brought a huge collection of their personal recipes. When my Great Grandmother passed a few years back at the ripe old age of 104 I inherited a large collection of her recipes.

God no lol...its beet soup!

I know it's beet soup, but I think it's a Swedish thing. Like Lutefisk. Nasty

Oh it might be I don't know. Its common in most east europe and is terrible.

Slept it off last night, but I felt pretty crappy the whole evening and it kept me up until at least 3 am.
