A lot of them believe that God will heal all wounds ... and even more HATE it when I post things about how great doctors and nurses are because apparently its God that does the work not man.

Not out of context at all. The mama above even said that that is just the old testament and how God did things. Um bullsmurf I think its funny that all of the sudden Jesus came preaching a very different message when he and his father are the same person. Makes no smurfing sense.

It annoys me when they do it to speak out against gay marriage and than smurf and when it is every day. And if I ever posted anything about atheism which I have, I get a ton of rude messages. But we are supposed to be silent. It never goes both ways.

I don't even reply to statuses if I don't agree with people. Unless someone asks a question like "why do christians think this" or something like that then I will explain what I believe and how I feel. Otherwise I leave it alone. lol

I don't think you should have to be silent. I personally am a christian and am not against gay marriage because there is a seperation of church and state. If you think being gay is a sin, ok that's fine, you can still be loving to homosexuals and kind and not talk them down. Christians feel cheating is a sin, but cheating is not illegal. I don't understand the big fight agianst it. And holding up signs against gays is anything BUT loving. I don't think Jesus would treat homosexuals how alot of christians I see treat them. I infact even have GAY christian friends. lol
So I'm not saying be silent, but maybe express your view to them. If they are posting verses like that I might be annoyed to. Are they trying to make people feel guilty? idk. If I post Bibe verses I post ones that help me with what i'm going through that day.. or something like that. Or after the election I saw alot of people upset so I posted a Bible verse I thought went with that too.

They were out of context though lol. you posted a bunch of random verses that you didn't know the history or context of. Yes the old testament was different. People had to follow different laws and all that. In the old testament they talk that God will send a savior one day and the New testament is when the savior Jesus is sent. He comes to sacrifice himself for our sins.

Um I am sorry but I was raised a christian my whole life. I took bible classes and studied the bible. I know the history. Not just posting random verses. What is out of context when it says the lord thy god commanded etc. The god of the bible ordered those thing to happen. I don't care what reason he had to order the rape and murder of women and children. There is no excuse. But go right ahead and stick up for him.

God does not think rape is ok. My husbands user name is Trup.sebteri and you can PM him any Bible verses you have questions about...like the ones above.  
As someone who was sexually abused as a child I did TONS of looking into the verses that SOME people thought meant rape was accepted or whatnot. And I promise you that is not the case... my husband was a big help to me in helping. Lots of christians don't even know the history of the Bible.. it's not easy.
