Yes this! These are people I am talking about.

I am actually pretty ok with others having different beliefs than I.

Statuses doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when a person uses a bible verse in an argument. It's annoying.

(Judges 19:24-25)


So it's perfectly OK to offer your daughter up for rape?

doesn't bother me unless they're using it to judge. And then I just unfriend them.

Mostly they just post that one about love being gentle or whatever or verses about their God's love. Nbd.

Though my favorite verse to post is Ezekiel 23:19-20

What??

#1. Matthew 5:11 has nothing to do with justifying rape. Its talking about being persecuted because of believing in Jesus Christ.
#2. You can't take a random verse or two and assume that the Bible condones that certain act or behavior. The book of Judges is giving account of the judges lives and their decisions, whether good or bad. This is not God saying its right or wrong.

I know no one did but I was quoted and then the question of rape...lol

I find it really annoying, because I avoid posting things they don't agree with... But whatever. I stopped catering to people, so I don't expect them to cater to my beliefs.

I don't mind the occasional Bible verses (though even as a Christian it annoys me when people ONLY post Bible verses), but I absolutely hate it when people fill up my news feed with random memes and "shared" statuses and pictures instead of ever posting something original. Drives me crazy, and that's why I unsubscribed from my MIL's posts. haha
