Are we dating or what?

I debated posting this public or not, but whatever. Let me preface this with: I'm in an open relationship. Got any problems with it?



Now onto the subject. I have a what I call a FWB. I've been seeing him since mid September. For a bit it was just me going hang out at his house and smurfing. (Hanging out is drinking, watching movies, partying...the usual.)

Then the past two weekends I didn't have my daughter so I slept at his place when I went over. And we went out to eat. (We've done that before...but we always ordered in. We actually went to the place to eat.)

And now this morning he messages me inviting me to the Ren Faire this weekend if he goes. Which I would love to do if I can. (Kiddo's home now.)

So yeah, uh.....help?   I haven't dated many guys actually so I have no clue what real dating is. And I have no clue how to just ask him if we are. Or what.   And he's...not a big talker so I never know what's going on in his head.

Also, let me add. Neither of us just smurf someone to smurf. There has to be some sort of attraction/connection for either of us to smurf someone.

I think with a FWB it can be other benefits than sex. Like "dating" without the label

Did you read the whole thing?   And it's other things too, I just didn't post all of them because I didn't want to bore everyone.

Nah, he doesn't. He was actually dating someone when we met. (They were open also.) They'be broken up now, but we all still hang out.

And I'm more with my SO (daughter's father.) than him. I just go see him on the weekends or on a random day if I get the chance.
