I know I chucking my two cents worth in a bit late but this thread made me sad  

I have absolutely zero self esteem and self confidence, I can’t even look a male in the eye because I think I’m hideous, let alone have a conversation that may lead to a date. My psychologist suggested I try online dating as a way of building some confidence. So I joined a site, and it’s a struggle. I literally have nothing to talk about because all I do is work, sleep and hang out with my dogs. So if I find something in common with a guy, I will make sure we talk about it. I’m not a very interesting person at the moment due to recent experiences, but I hope that getting to know new people will lead to learning new things and having new experiences and I’ll be able to be my fun loving interesting self again.

OP I get where you’re coming from, don’t get me wrong, just be careful your not the one missing out just because they don’t lay all their hopes, dreams and goals out in the initial email.

I have social anxiety and a paranoia disorder, plus I have other health issues, so doing the bar thing and meeting guys in public isn't really for me. I also have self-esteem issues and body dysmorphia. For these reasons and the fact that I am a mother, I'm very selective about the guys I talk to. Like I told other people, I never said I didn't talk to these guys, or that I didn't check them out. Most of them we had absolutely nothing in common besides children. I'm sorry, but that's not enough for me.

me and SO reconnected over a picture on POF... lol ive known him for yers lost contact and he had a picture of him with a good girlfriend of mine .. so we started to catch up.. lol he works with my dad ,( our parents worked togeter for years)... lol but i used to hate when guys thought bragging me with what money they had woild get me.. our used the were both single parents... yeah i have my daughter 24/7 you have your kid every other weekend.. we have so much in comon.. pshh
