NOT Tryen to be rude to you in anyway girl.. but b is false...just sayen i pumped for my ds from day one till 1 year mark.. never ever had a problem empting my breast. if you have a good pump and were shown the proper way to pump you will get it all out.

Feed your child however you wish. There's nothing wrong with formula feeding, if you choose it. Exclusively pumping is very hard work.

I did it from when my baby was about 5 months till 9 months. I had success but it was also a nightmare. Pumping is very stressful and does not always empty your breasts. Therefore, if you are not careful, your supply will crash. You have to pump atleast 9 times a day for a minimum of 25 minutes on each breast (or if you have a double pump, 25 minutes total). And this is around the clock! No sleeping for more than 2 hours at a time when exclusively breast pumping! I was only able to pump 5 times a day with my work schedule, so my baby ended up getting formula also and after I hit my goal of 9 months, I ended up quitting because it was very time consuming and aggravating sometimes. Pumping was a nightmare. You pump and pump, and pump- while I was eating I was pumping, after I got out of the shower I was pumping... and that was just preparing to be gone a couple days for drill. Breastfeeding was so much easier. I gave up pumping altogether and breastfed.

It's like my body knew it wasn't the baby, because when he ate he got enough- when I pumped hardly anything came out.

The more you substitute with formula, the less milk you'll make.

honestly, just put the kid on your boob. Then you don't have to worry about ti so much and life will be easier

If you supplement you're sacrificing your supply.

Even though you're supplementing you will still have to pump around the clock if you want your supply to stay up.
There is nothing wrong with formula feeding. I couldn't breastfeed DS due to medical issues. He's one very healthy formula fed baby. Do what you think works best for you

OP, if you're worried about others being able to feed, pump between breastfeedings and store it. That should help!

this isnt not 100% true not all cases. and no i didnt have a bigg supply just enough to give to him. it always pulled my hind milk.


but i know i wouldnt EVER do it again.. makes me feel like i missed time with him instead of the way people say breastfeeding makes you bond. and all this onee on one time.. . thats farthest from the truth i feel like i missed time with my son and would give anything to go back to the day i delivered him find the nurse who gave him a paci and knock her damn head off.. they are the reason my son wouldnt latch everytime they would take him from me instead ot tryen to "soothe" my child the natural way (ie. hold him pat his back, talk to him, see if hes comfy and dry) nope that paci went right in his mouth first thing when they closed my door.

No, pretty sure she is right. A breast pump cannot mimic the suction and amount time a baby will feed on the breast.

Its been medically proven actually.

I tried to breast feed but had trouble because of my sensory issues. I could not stand the sensation of breastfeeding- I wanted to pull my skin off. I pumped while they were in the NICU and had an oversupply, but I guess I maxed out? I never made over a certain amount, even with Fenugreek and drinking nearly two gallons of water a day. One baby, I'd be fine, but two?! I supplement, lol.
I suppose the point of my rambling is that it might work, it might not. If you can, it's best to breastfeed directly, without the pump, or just pumping sometimes to get ahead a little. But overall, breast milk is best and how it gets to them isn't the single most important factor, in my opinion.
You have to figure out what works for you and your baby.

like I said before.. my breast were emptied every time with my pump. if you have a GREAT pump and you are tought the Correct way to massage your breast.. you will get it alllll out.. my sons always had normal poop unless he was since he never had formilk poop.. like he wasnt getting the hind milk..thats how I know I always got everything out.. cause if I didnt he would have had odd looking poop and prob a sour tummy from getting the sweet end of the milk and believe me I took the time to go to my classes and learn cause I didnt want to loose my supply and I didnt want to get infected tatas. I have honestly never worked so hard in my life... besides labor of course.. we were sucessful for a whole year then he went to cows milk
