No. LO is due a few weeks before Christmas and there's no way in hell anyone is going to be holding him unless they have clean hands. And that's if we even decide to go out for those holidays.

Nope! My son was preemie and happened to be released the day of my baby shower. I made it very clear that if anyone wanted to touch him, they needed to wash their hands or put hand sanitizer. I bought a big bottle, left it on a table that was close to the door so as soon as they walked in they put it on. Everyone seemed understanding about it.

And people wonder why children have more allergies, and get sick more often than in the past.

I didn't do this with my daughter. She was out an about in the world the day after she was born. I wasn't paranoid about germs or anything. They help build immunities and such. Different for my son though  

I'd think mama needs to relax more than just a little bit.


The ONLY reason I see these signs as a good thing, is in places like Texas, where the old hispanic women feel if they don't pinch your child, it will bring them bad luck. ZOMG I HATED random people touching my daughter, and they did it ALL THE DAMN TIME!

I agree. It's really a bit much to have a sign. If you're that concerned, just ask them to wash their hands or whatnot. I'm not a freak about germs unless someone is touching dd's face or letting her grab their hand. Some germs are good for babies. They build their immune system.
