Heartbreak is HORRIBLE. But you cannot cut yourself off from mankind. We are all going to lose loved ones in one way or another and eventually in the end what will hold you up are all the good memories you have gathered through sharing a life with loved ones.

I saw some movie awhile back where people hired someone to cut out there memories of lost loved ones. Was it Eternal Sunshine? Eh. I am just glad we don't have the ability to change our pasts. Who knows what would be best or worst while reshaping the future, but goodness, the potential messes it could cause.

honestly - i was only ever in love with my high school sweetheart and i just knew. it's weird. when we broke up i was a mess for probably a month. now...my husband, don't get me wrong i love him to death but definitely not "in love". i don't ever think i will have that kind of love again....when i see my ex i still get the tingly feeling...it's weird...i always wonder if he feels like that when he sees me. we are both married now and have kids. :/

Sadly I have found most people getting married are like this =\. Probably a good reason the divorce rate is so high.

i know, right? i mean i wouldn't change my kids for the world...but i dunno. i love my husband and the father he is..so maybe that's it. my ex and i broke up 6 years ago and i still think about him. i hate running into him, it's just awkward. last time it happened with my husband and kids and his wife and kids and my husband said you 2 really made that awkward, he said he could see we still care for each other

I think it's harder now because with the internet its so much easier to reconnect. I feel we often sit around years later thinking "what if??"

yeah...i just don't understand why it's so hard to move on. i feel like once he broke up with me that he took my heart with him if that makes sense. he even tried to get back together with me, but i said no   we had sex a couple times after we broke up but that's it, my heart was gone i guess.
