tender, certainly. pumping correctly should never be painful, though. especially the next day. how long did you pump? did your nipples rub against the side of the flange?

My nips always looked purple after pumping. Maybe u have the suction too hard??

Mine look purple after pumping and nursing. My kids a freakin vacuum lol.
But it usually goes away pretty fast, except now the tips feel like they are made of steel.

It's a manual pump.. I think it's the right size but I'll have to check once I've cleaned it, I wasn't paying too much attention. I think I was pumping for maybe half an hour, forty minutes?
