Celexa

Anyone ever been on it? Good and/or bad results/side affects?
My dr just perscribed it for me today, for my anxiety disorder and now depression. The zoloft was making my attacks more frequent and worse. I couldn't deal with it. Which is strange because before I had DD it worked wonders.

Some people are saying I should try cymbalta(sp?)or clonazepam. But I thought Cymbalta was just for depression?

I am on Celexa, and I recently had to get it upped to 40mg, but since I have been on that, I have been great. I have a lot of anxiety too, and it really helps keep it in check. The only side effect I can think that I had with it, is it made me a little sleepy when I first started taking it, but now I take it at night right before I go to bed.

I was on it. It made me feel more suicidal. Clonazepam only works on the anxiety so if you need it for both I would stick with Celexa or Lexapro. I'm on Lexapro and it helps some. But I'm on a combination of pills for depression and anxiety

I was reading online people are more suicidal. I hope that doesn't happen to me. I use to only have bad anxiety disorder, but lately Ive slipped back into a depression. :/

I hope it handles both my problems though

I have been it for over a year. Very happy with it

It happened to me with Prozac too. I could just be susceptible to them. They just increased the already there suicidal thoughts. I hope it doesn't for you.

I have bad both. It isn't fun

They make you sleepy because in order to relieve anxiety, it has to calm you.

oh boy. I have REAL bad anxiety. I've had depression on and off through out my life. Ive had suicidal thoughts, and that's why I brought it up to my Dr because I was no longer on the Zoloft since it was making me have more attacks. & then I started develoing depression again. I dont wanna say its PPD cause Im 6mo PP, I think its just plain old depression

Yea I have really bad anxiety too   I've heard that a lot with Zoloft. I've heard you can develop PPD anytime within a year of delivering.
