noisy baby

Does anyone elses baby make a lot of grunting, snoring, raspy breathing noises? I actually have my 5 week old on video snoring. He's snoring right now! He doesn't seem to have trouble breathing and all the drs say his lungs sound normal and he doesn't do it all the time but sometimes he's snoring or will gasp for air randomly I sometimes wonder how he doesn't wake himself up! He has a dr appt on Friday im going to show them the video but is this normal? Do they just grow out of it?? I've never heard a baby makes the noises he does but he's also my first so maybe they do!?

DS does exactly the same, he's always grunting and snuffling in his sleep. It's adorable

My three week old does the same. He snores so loud sometimes it keeps me up. It almost sounds like he's congested but he's been doing it since birth and his doctor says that everything is normal so im guessing he just ttakes after me in the snoring department. I will be bringing it up at his one month check up though. Just to be safe.

Yep, my tiny human is the loudest thing ever. He makes so many noises, and now that he's starting to find his voice *he's 8 weeks* he has a myriad of new noises every few days.

Aaahhhh....this is a HUGE relief! Thanks guys. Sounds like maybe its something he will grow out of. When we are out and about and he starts making the snoring sound like he's congested people look at me like "why aren't you doing something?" But yes he's done it since birth so idk what they want me to do lol the snoring is sooo cute that's why I video taped it sometimes at night ill have my husband, baby, and dog all snoring and I just have to lay in bed and laugh cause they are all boys!

my 6 week old does the exact same thing. i mention it to my health visitor the other day and said it's totally normal and some babies get it worse than other and some babies don't get it at all. my little man is awful, sounds like a little piggy sometimes bless him. She said he'll grow out of it eventually. something to do with them not being able to control the amount of mucas they can't clear on their own untill they learn to cough themselves.
I'm gonna ask the docter aswell at his 6 week check up, just to check cause he also breaths rediculasly heavy when he sleeps and it scares me! lol. x

I do the same thing! Except my dog is a girl. But still, sometimes I wonder how I get any sleep since they are all so noisy. I recorded my son the other day when he was snoring...hs sounded like his father.

Yes! Sometimes I feel like im sleeping next to a baby pig. As long as its "normal" its cute but some of those sounds seem concerning! Im glad there are other noisy little humans out there and im not the only one people are starring at and thinking "why isn't she concerened her baby sounds like that!" Lol. sadly enough I think if there wasn't any snoring in my house I wouldn't be able to sleep cause everyone does it! Lol

Yeah, on the nights they aren't all noisy its hard for me to fall asleep because 1. I'm paranoid about ny tiny human and 2. I'm used to the noise lol.

my 10 week old does that all the time and has done it since birth

My dd is 9 months old and does, but she does because of medical reasons, for her snoring and always sounding like she is sick. She cannot breath through her nose at all, so she will wlways sound like this, it used to get on my nerves as a kid tho. lol My brother is the same way cant breath through his nose at all, and the sounds get worse as they get bigger. lol

I wondered if he was having trouble breathing through his nose cause I can't very well but he sleeps sometimes with his mouth closed or with a paci so I assume if he couldn't breath through his nose he wouldn't take a paci??
