toddler penis question

My son is almost 13mo old. He has been fine all day, haven't noticed anything until bath time. He has a red spot on his penis that appears to be swollen. It's not bothering him. He is not circ. but it is near the base not the tip. I called in they said bring him in tomorrow. I will. But just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what this is?

Bug bite? Little spiders can be big smurfs.

Has he been in a wet diaper longer than normal lately maybe?

I typed out bug bite and thought it might be far fetched. But it's really all I could think of if its just ONE spot.

Bug bite or irritation from his urine in his diaper most likely. Could be a little bump though. They should be able to tell you tomorrow with no problem though

My son got a nasty spider bite on his leg...his doc said it was ant bite...but I know better...it left a scar and is all shiny indented. Freaks me out

Im sure the doctor will know. I'm just freaked up. His diaper was pretty dry. I thought bug bite at first but the lump and the spot aren't connected. The skin moves over the bump. If that make sense?

I just threw it out there because SO had a blackhead come up on his penis near the base & it did the same thing

my son had something simular ,we took him in to get checked out, turned out to be an irritation to pampers brand diapers, whatever the scent is in them was bothering him, he's also not circumsized .

Were the diapers new to him? my son has used the same ones for the past year. A few different here and there but basically just these.

Yeah I was thinking this as well.

So it was an infection. Because his fore skin is still tight and can't be rolled back to clean, bacteria from his poop got in there. He is in pain now and will only sleep on his back (he's a side sleeper). My poor little baby.
