cramps

Since having my son (7weeks ago) I've been getting these horrid stomach cramps/pains that last for hours. It's kind of right below my left rib cage. They don't cause me to use the bathroom, but they do hurt so bad it makes me feel like I could throw up. I had it the other night and it kept me up for 2 hours, and then once I fell asleep and got up to feed my son 3 hours later I still had them only worse.
It feels like I've been punched in the stomach like 50 times. Anyone what could cause this, or have had it happen to them?

Are you breastfeeding? With my son breastfeeding caused me to cramp up like that ALOT, the doctor said it was normal for the first few months of breastfeeding.

No, I had to stop breastfeeding bc my supply never came in. but I know what you are talking about bc I did get to breast feed while being in the hospital. It's up higher like right below my rib cage.
