Not long til I am in labor and cuddling my little womb camper whose been in their for 9 whole months, I wanna hear some good short stories about labor, an delivery... Im not going to say im not scared or nervous, smurf yeah i am. Plus, going to *try* my hardest for a natural birth, no drugs, nor IV's unless I REALLY need them. Already talked to Doc about it! Whoop.

i tried going natural. I was doing ok with it intill my water broke then it started to hurt like hell!!! So i got the equiral and i went fast after that. I had to have an IV because i had to have water. Then about an hour before i had to push i got posion by the equiral so they had to shut it off and i pushed natural and felt everything. To tell you the truth it didnt hurt that by for me when i pushed. But everyone is differnt. But good luck

awe sorry to hear about the epi getting you sick.
I wanna try everything to go natural, as in gas, and just plan oxygen.
I dont want the IV, Id rather just eat ice chips and stay hydrated that way!

I went natural   I labored at home by myself all night while everyone else slept lol. When I got to the hospital I was 8 cm. They moved me into the delivery room and as I got onto the bed my water broke and exploded all over the floor lol. Pushed for 14 minutes and he was in my arms within an hour of arriving to the hospital   You can do it! Good luck mama

I have had 2 awesome natural births.

With my first, contractions started at 11:45 pm. They werent painful.at all but were 2 minutes apart. Thankfully hubby talked me into going in.

I got to the hospital and was still not in any pain. They finally checked met at 12:45 am and I was almost 8 cm!! I wanted an epi but progressed to fast to get it. By this point I had hit transition and was basically holding my breath through the contractions. Baby was partway out along with my intact bag of water. I was struggling not to push because my midwife was not there.

She finally got there. I pushed once and my water broke. 2 more pushes and she held up my first born. We were team green so I got to yell "It's a boy!!!!"

Tate Millan was born at 1:31 am after only 1 hr 46 minutes of labor. He was 6 lbs 1 oz and absolutely perfect.

With my second I was totally afraid of delivering in the car. So when we found I was 5 cm (and other reasons) we decided it would be safe to induce.

At 2:10 pm my water was broke. I went from 5 to 6 1/2 cm. A tiny bit of pitocin was started.

I was prepared for contractions this time and easily breathed through them. I felt no pain.

After a short while it was time to push. Three pushes and my baby was here.

We were team green again but wanted a girl so badly. I just knew I would never get so lucky.

So I looked down at my baby and the darn cord was in the way!!! So I yelled "WHAT DID I GET?" lol.

I cried so hard when she told me I had a daughter!!!

Bo Delainie was born at 2:46 pm after only 36 minutes of labor!!! She was a tiny 5 lbs 3 oz and so beautiful.

Now they are 3 and 2. And still pretty perfect!!!

Pshh you can do anything you set your mind to! My whole pregnancy my mindset was just to try to do it naturally, but if I couldn't handle it I wasn't opposed to an epidural. Now, I am excited to do it again someday! It is such a great, empowering feeling. SO worth the pain

Have you taken a childbirth class? Or plan to? I really think it helped me do it naturally. Really any class that can teach you coping skills while you're in labor. Even though most of it goes right out the door when you're actually in labor, some of it will stick lol

I just used deep breathing. In my nose and out my mouth. I really concentrated on the breaths. I even counted the seconds and tried to make sure I kept them all even. By concentrating on the breaths I completely forgot about the contractions.

Now I have a ridiculously high pain tolerance but I can honeslty say I felt no pain during Bo's labor. I actually enjoyed it!

Thats good. My tolerance is so/so for the most part. And wont there be a nurse in the room that usually helps with the breathing an stuff like that?

There was for me. She was wonderful!!!

Just remember mama, it is YOUR labor. It goes whatever way you want it. The drugs are there if YOU decide you need them. But dont be afraid to ask your nurse for suggestions on how to cope without them. I am sure they have lots of tips and tricks to help!

I found that being relaxed really helped. Make sure your ab muscles are especially relaxed.

My awesome nurse also put lidocaine on her gloves when she checked me so I was numb on the inside and didnt feel baby coming oit.

I am sure you will do great however you decide your labor to go. Good luck to you mama!
