How do you feel? D&D

How do you feel knowing that your entire internet life can be seen by anyone? Aside from privacy aspects of certain accounts like FB, how does it make you feel say on BG and similar "unprivate" sites, knowing that everything you say can be seen by anyone who wants to see it?

Do you think about that before you post online? Not just for photos of yourselves and your children but how you present yourself online?

Would you be ashamed if a future employer googled your name and found everything you had said on BG?

Thats why I deleted my facebook three years ago. I know the risks of posting on here. As should everyone else because thats how the internet works.

I'e got nothing to hide and my employer even told us at orientation that our 'social media' team may do a bit of online research on us. I work for one of the largest internet providers and IT firms in the country, I kind of knew it would happen.

It bothers me, but the government can see everything private also. They can do and read anything they want in any one citizen because of the patriot act.

That's why my name is not associated with BG. Although I'm not ashamed of what I've said, I'd probably be embarrassed by some of the questions I've answered! Haha

Nothing comes up from BG with my real name, and I work freelance in the arts so Im pretty sure it won't be a factor.

I'm fine with what I post. Sometimes I get a little comfortable on here and laugh at something or make a joke that I perhaps wouldn't otherwise, but I feel that I'm respectful & don't do anything to humiliate myself.

I don't say anything on here that I wouldn't say to a person face to face, so it doesn't bother me what future employers could see. I also don't post anything on Facebook other than liking or sharing Libertarian campaign posts.

Umm for the most part things are good lol. Now if they could read MySpace messages wed have a whole new story to worry about. I try to delete the bad things but obv if its on here then its on here I can't take it back. =\. But yes I do think before I post 99% of the time

And he would be upset for me saying he'd get upset.

Well I've never posted my name or a picture of myself on here, so I think I'm good. I also try to be pretty respectful.

I'm the same on here and irl so eh no smurfs given.

I don't put anything out there that I wouldn't mind putting forth to the public.

I post knowingly, that I'm possibly revealing private events of my life to a world of strangers.

I try to be pretty respectful over the internet. If someone tries to start something with me, usually I will just back down and leave it alone.. Winning an argument on the internet is not important to me.

I also usually type things out and re-read them a few times and fix things before I post. Sometimes I end up with a HUGE wall of text explaining my feelings on something, and I just X out of the page without posting because sometimes my opinion really doesn't matter and wont bring anything meaningful to the conversation. Sometimes my views are different than other peoples so I will not post because I don't like starting drama.
