Getting induced

*So im only sixteen and pregnant//: They said im getting induced december 5th and there doing a c-section! I am kinda scared but yet im so ready for him to be here! I have no idea what to be expecting!!

Why are they doing a csection?

Why? Is there a medical reason you're being induced and having a c-section?

C-sections are major surgery and should really only be used in cases of emergency, IMO. Your body was made to give birth... not be sliced open.

Maybe I'm dumb here, but why be induced just to have a csection? Isn't that unnecessary?

my doctor said that my pelvic bone isnt fully developed untill im 18 and that the baby was breech last time he checked! Thats really all i know, im only 16 so i really dont understand alot i didnt plan it or any thing!

Er, no, your pelvic bone is fine... unless you have a bone disease or something. Younger girls than you have given birth vaginally.

And baby will probably turn within the next few weeks.

I had my daughter naturally a few months after I turned 17. C-sections are major surgery and very unnecessary. Your body is made to birth a baby, have faith in yourself and you can do it.

That sounds awfully uneducated   Lots of young girls have babies all of the time

And they can do a version procedure to turn the baby

You are not the first 16 year old to have a baby. You don't have to have a c-section because they said so.

Girls were birthing babies at home at your age and younger since the dawn of time. Not too long ago, your age was the norm to have babies.

I'll tell that doctor to educate himself and let you do what your body was meant too.

My best friend and my sister both delivered their babies vaginally at 15 so your doctor may just be trying to take the easy way out. Dont let them talk you into to something that you really dont need cause once you have a c-section always a c-section unless you get lucky enough to find a doctor that will do a VBAC but they are hard to find.

Then, talk to him about it.... I don't know why you'd WANT to have a c-section if you don't actually need one.

Hun honestly your smurfin young and I dont know if your set on how many kids you want but letting them do a c section will limit you! You are are bulit to have babies like any other women well most women and you shouldnt let them take that from you its a great thing to push your child out of your womb! I wouldnt let them do a c section unless it really risked my childs life ya know.... Remember women are made to have babies that are heavy or have a big head etc .... we are made for this!
