Did I Get Screwed?

I went to the Gyno today and he told me they needed to do an u/s to make sure my Mirena was still in the right spot because he couldn't find the strings. So after I got the u/s and was told everything was fine, the lady at the check out desk tells me I have to sign a form agreeing to pay for the u/s in case Medicaid didn't cover it.   I signed it because I didn't know any better, but now my mom is saying that they can't do that. They can't tell me I need a service, give it to me, and THEN make me sign something agreeing to pay for it after the fact.

So is my mom right? Did I just get screwed?

umm I think so. I've had that happen before with ultrasounds and they ALWAYS told me before hand.

Yep. It should of been done before hand.A dentist tried to do that to me. I needed one wisdom tooth pulled. The insurcance oked the one. They pulled all four and tried to bill the insureance and they said no. Tried to say I had to pay for it but I didnt sign for that. I signed for what the insurance approved.

Yeah you should have been told and made to sign it beforehand.

So my next question is, is there anything I can do at this point? Or am I basically stuck because I signed it? Granted my insurance might still cover it and this could all be a non-factor but just in case.
