You don't even have to take a civics class. You can just recite the pledge..."and to the REPUBLIC. FOR WHICH IT STANDS..."

Now that I look at it again....it is kinda "pro obamacare", huh? Yeah, I should change that.  

America has never been a democracy. The founding fathers actually thought the general population was too stupid to vote directly on issues, and they were right.

That's why we are a Constitutional Republic. Democracies in theory are great, but they don't work.

I think people say "we live in a democracy" as we DO have a lot of decisions made by "majority rules."
