can you feel dilation?

Just wondering. I get these weird pushing down feeling sometimes. At my 35 week appointment I was a "fingertip" dilated. I have an appointment tomorrow, and am wondering what to expect as far as dilation goes.

Dilation feels like someone stabbing me in the cervix with a big needle (like a dentist uses to numb your mouth).

i've been getting that feeling of the stabbing in the cervix area, but i guess i'm not dilated? i'm 30 weeks.

You could be funneling from the inside and closed on the outside

oh, would you need a U/S to see that? i've had a ton of BV and yeast infections so i am worried about it.

im having alot of stabling in the lower pelvic area as well an im 35weeks today i have a Doctors apt tomorrow worried bc i thought i was in labor this past friday an they said nope an sent me home..

Yeah, you can only tell via ultrasound!

She said I am 1cm and 50% effaced.
