AR i need help

My daughter is on zantec it stopped working i can try a higher does or change the meds but the only one covered is zantac, the does they changed it to is almost the same as what im using now....


How much do u pay for the meds and where if there not covered i was already told one is 177 and the other is 150 something.

Zantac is pretty weak. We are now on Prevacid or liquid gold as our pediatric called it. Like 300 for the bottles of compound . But don't increase the dose with out consulting a doctor. It can be covered but you need prior authoriZation to get it covered

my son is on arkansas medicaid, wel arkids 1st, part b (where i still have small copays)...his doctor switched him from zantac to prevacid and it covered it...i just had my 5 dollar copay.

but a friend of mine's son was on it too and she said they didn't cover hers. i didn't understand why because it was the exact same medicine.
maybe because i think she had regular arkids 1st, and maybe they don't cover it since you don't pay a copay? but that would be dumb cause part b receivers only pay 5 dollars...so im not sure.

yah there not going to cover it i have prevacid thats the one thats 200 bucks.

Not even with a prior authorization? What insurance do you have? I know you have to fight for it to get covered ( well pediatriciana do)

That's so strange we are on Medicaid. And it has always been covered - well after we fought for it. Maybe cause he has Gerd and esophaghitis
