My hottsauce DH :)

Getting ready for the Marine Corps Ball (I'm not going) It was mandatory and he wasn't happy about it but he looked so damn handsome! (He is a Navy Corpsman: Green Side with the Marines, I realize this is not the marine corps uniform).

Aren't those Dress Blue's for the Navy?

Correct   He is in the Navy- he is currently Green Side with the Marines ;)

ETA: it was mandatory that they go. They didn't have an option. Marine corp likes to spend lots and lots of money on the ball and then force ticket sales.

I was thinking the same, my cousin is a marine and did not wear this to the ball.

Last time I went to my Marine Corps Ball I got puke on my dress blues.  
It was a swell ol' time, haha.

The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy. We always have seaman with us.

It's more like voluntold. He has a few options in the Navy with his MOS he can go Green Side (marines) Blue Side (navy) and then there is like Sea Duty, Shore Duty, Overseas duty..etc. I don't know the exact logisitcs because it confuses me but he just got done a 3 year duty with the Naval Hospital so it was either go on a ship for 250 + days out of the year or go Green Side again with the Marines and deploy but not be gone AS often. This is his second tour with the marines since he joined 9 years ago
