I would, because hugely multiple pregnancies like that rarely turn out healthy babies. Women aren't build for litters in general.

I'm torn. I have no children right now, but I just couldn't imagine selectively choosing which babies lived and which died. I'm pro-choice, but I feel like that is playing God (I know, sounds very contradicting). I would hope for a couple of miscarriages. I don't think I could personally abort.

If I had triplets, I would not reduce. If I had more than triplets I would probably reduce to triplets. I could not handle the stress of 4-6 newborns. The financial or the emotional.

i had IVF so we had to consider this. BUT, responsible docs dont transfer many embryos anymore. It's possible that the embryos divide and you end up was many more than planned. If that happened I would reduce for the sake of having healthier survivors. It would be an agonizing decision.
My doc told me that some women are better able to carry multiples. He said that because i am tall and have a long torso, quads would probably do OK. BUT, for women with different physical stature, having triplets or more may put ALL the babies and the mom at significant risk.

I don't think that is something I could do.

Yes I absolutely would (for three or more) and it's something I've put a lot of thought into. But still it's not an easy decision to make and I have never had more than one embryo transferred so that I can avoid having to make that decision.

Quoting Squid Kid:" Because y'know, adopting them out is a terrible option.  "

It's not having them cared for after they are born that is the issue, it's the risk posed to both the babies and the mother while in utero.

High order multiples associated with ART are most often due to the use of Clomid/Femara these days (not IVF) and is when either the woman is not properly monitored or she doesn't abstain from sex as recommended to do so because of over stimulation. ie Kate Gosselin.

man..... Idk. I'd feel like smurf no matter what. I'd probably want to abort all of them.

But this is exactly why I wouldn't implant more than 2 eggs.

If they are doing IVF they know the chance of getting multiples. If i were to do IVF i would know that as well, so i wouldnt reduce.
