It's the same thing as abortion. I could never personally do it, but I would seriously consider adopting most of them out.

One article said the doctor chooses ones that look like they potentially have problems (although I don't know how they determine that) or ones that are easiest to get to with the needle.

That would be my thing too. I'd be worried about the risks of pre term labor and the risks to myself carrying six babies.

Yeah multiples can take a huge toll on your body and is very risky for the fetuses too. Heck many times fetus will miscarriage off one by one in cases of multiples. Having multiples is a huge fear of mine even though it will probably never happen to me lol.

I would say twins is my limit.

i think it probably poses risks to the other babies during the procedure...even if it makes it safer for them in the long run, they would have to survive the procedure in the first place.

i wouldn't judge if someone else chose to do it though..i just think that you would probably have some grief when they were born, and you knew there were supposed to be more.

Just asked my husband this question and his answer was "Could you imagine if 4 embryos stuck and began to form and all four separated into identical twins?!" lol

I really wouldn't have bonded with them all through pregnancy, way too many babies. I couldn't name them or know who was doing what. So really, probably in order of birth. I'd choose adoptive families ahead of time and keep the last one or two born.

I would tell the doctor to pick, I bet some would have better chance of healthy pregnancy/labor versus others.

I'm torn on this. Does anyone remember the post about the military wife who was told that one of her twins was not healthy and was convinced to reduce in order to save the other twin, SO SHE AGREED AND THEY 'REDUCED' THE WRONG TWIN? So at the end, she had no baby and couldn't sue, because it's military doctors. I normally would reduce or originally not let them put so many fertilized eggs in at once, but when I read things like that, idk what I would do. Guess you really can't tell until you are in that situation.

Didn't say that. I'm saying once the babies are born, how do you decide which ones you want to adopt out? Pick out of a hat?
