Anyone have a good white milk gravy recipe ?

posted 14th Nov
I would ask my uncle who is a chef, but it took me forever to finally get his hot wing recipe.

Anyways, I know the basic ingredients are Milk, Flour, and butter.

I just need the measurements, along with how to actually prepare it.

I don't use measurements :-/ in use drippings and flour to make a slough (? I think that what my teacher called it in culinary lol) add milk then bring to a book stirring and add salt & pepper! Yum!

Depends on what kind of white gravy you want, and at that I usually eyeball it.

Just a basic milk gravy with nothing special added.

I guess country gravy would have been a better word for it ?

if you dont want to use the fat from bacon or sausage.

You want to melt your butter, then add your flour. Its equal parts butter and flour. using a whisk, cook the flour until it starts to "melt" back into the pan. Add some cream until it thickens and whisk it, then add the rest of your milk.

The amount depends on how much you want. then add salt and pepper to tast. or anything else you want to add!
