burnt hand, help

posted 14th Nov
I just dropped an entire pot of boiling water on the top of my hand, the pain is almost unbearable right now, it feels like its on fire. What are you supposed to do for burns like that? water? ice? I have no idea, its killing me right now

Um, I find it odd that you burnt your hand with boiling water and your first instinct is to get on BG lol.. But is it blistered already? Go to the doctor?

Sorry no. Absolutely no butter, it holds the heat in.

Put it under cold, running water for as long as you can. If it's blistering, head to your Doctor.

OP i really wouldn't wait to long to go. My mother was canning a few years ago and splashed boiling water all over her chest. The doctor told her to go strait to the ER she was on medicated burn cream for weeks.

My Grandma somehow fell and spilled the whole fresh pot of coffee down her back, she ended up in the hospital for 3 days.

Yeaaa, I would be freaking out right about now...calling my doctor haha. I wouldn't be like "Oh smurf, let me hop on BG and see what they tell me to do." lmao.

Like the other ladies said, bowl of ice water. Do not use butter! If it starts to blister to much you should probably go in so you can get some silvadine (sp?) cream
