We saw a difference pretty quickly honestly. With her it turned out that the main problem were sensory issues. So we worked through the sensory stuff, and then the language came pretty fast. She was at 26 hours a month (which is a LOT) but is now down to the basic 5 hours a month.

My son has sensory issues as well... is she in OT? that's great to hear she is doing much better!

Not anymore. She did some OT, but very little really. Mostly the teachers added that in with the language, and she only did OT to sort of "check in." It's totally amazing the difference. I often say she's like a different child. I don't even want to consider what could have happened if I didn't get therapy when I did. The early they get help the better able to overcome the issues.
