Say a prayer.

Eveyone please say a prayer.. A school bus just flipped over a street away from my house. Theres about 5-6 ambulances there and a bunch of cops and fire trucks. There was 8 elementary school kids and 2 adults. One of my sons friends which is in pre-k was on there. I'm not sure about everyones condition so please just say a quick prayer.

I will. I'm waiting to hear whats going on. The bus driver was trying to avoid hitting a deer and flipped the bus.

It was a handicap bus. 6 kids and 2 adults were taken to the hospital. Noone was seriously hurt though. The driver was charged with failure to stay in the roadway because he was trying to avoid hitting a deer and that is why the bus flipped. My sisters boyfriend was passing right after it happened and opened the back door of the bus and helped all the kids out. The windshield was busted so some of the kids had a few cuts.

CHERITON, Va. (WAVY) - Police say six children and two adults have been hospitalized following a school bus accident on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Seaside Road just outside of Cheriton. Police say the bus was from Kiptopeke Elementary School.
The driver of the bus was charged with failure to drive in the roadway.

Oh my...I'm so glad everyone got out ok! I don't know how, but I'm glad they did!

Since it was a handicap bus they had seatbelts i think that is the main reason everyone was okay. My sister and her boyfriend will be on the news tonight because her boyfriend was the first one on the scene before any EMTs or anyone and he is the one who helped all the kids off the bus.
