I'm confused..

I had court this morning and since the father of my kids did not show up to court, the judge gave me sole physical custody. I'm confused, what exactly does that mean? What would be my rights?

That's what I thought, but he also said the father will be allowed to pick them up on Friday night's nd bring them back Saturday morning. We both share legal custody, so I don't understand what will be the difference.

Physical custody means that a parent has the right to have a child live with him or her

Legal custody of a child means having the right and the obligation to make decisions about a child's upbringing
