peeing in panties

posted 14th Nov
my LO is 3y/o and potty trained, except at night she wears a diaper.
well! she's been amazing never has an accident. EVER!
and all of a sudden about a week ago? she's been just pissing herself!
i've been sympathetic with her and have been really calm about it, that didn't work. so i tried talking to her and that seemed to help but she pee'd again in her panties!
then last night i go to the ER and my hubby texts me that she smurffed her panties!
she KNOWS to go potty! she is very very smart, especially for her age. it took her no time at all to be potty trained, i give praise like crazy, i give treats for poo poos too! ive tried everything i can think of.
so this morning soon as i changed her out of her diaper i sat her down and said "remember, youre a BIG girl now!   you go potty in the BIG GIRL potty!   right?!" "yes mommy! im a big girl!!!!" "if you think you gota pee pee RUN to the bathroom and tell mommy and ill RUN and help you!!" "k mama!"
im overly enthusiastic when it comes to this lol
well she went pee pee in the am then when i sat them down for their snack before naps she had pissed herself!
i was losing it in my mind! i dont understand wtf is going on in her head. i even reminded her and asked her THREE times if she had to go and she said no. so i sat her down later just to make sure and she didn't go. so i let her down.

what am i supposed to do??? i've tried it all!

I would get rid of the diapers at night. They sale absorbent washable bed pads at walmart. I would buy some of those and put on her bed in case she had an accident at night. I would also do time out if she continues to potty in her pants during the day.

i don't think so- i asked her if it hurts to peepee and she said no
she isn't overly or under pee'ing either.
she just doesn't go to the potty.
you think maybe she's just getting distracted while playing??
that's all i can think of. that's why i've been asking her if she has to go. but i didn't ever have to-she would just go all by herself beore.

time outs have NEVER worked with her.
she's a little sassy britches haha
ill look into the bed pads though! maybe my mother in law could pick it up for me-we're tight on mula until after christmas.

This. My 3.5 yr old is/was pt'd bc we don't use anything but panties but when she stays at my MILs on the weekend she wears pull ups at night. While on the phone w my mom she said " I poop n pee in diapers at my grand moms house bc she tells me to wear them at night" it takes us no joke 2-3 wks of basic square one pt'ing to get her back on track. Then it starts all over again when she stays at MILs. It confuses her so we go back to being naked w a shirt on during the day, treats, microwave timer, etc

Perhaps set a timer? Every time she hears the timer goes off she has to stop playing, and try to go potty. Eventually, she'll stop waiting on the timer and just start going whenever again. Maybe that'd work.

if you can manage it, let her try to go naked during the day if she's indoors. it's the quickest way my girl learned when she had to go. even my almost 2yr old is pt'ing herself and esp when she's naked during the day she runs for the bathroom.

that and the timer works wonders. I set my microwave for every 15 mins, sometimes 10 if she's had a lot to drink.

good luck she'll get it

^This is what I was going to say, just let her go naked. Kids who potty train early often regress, so it's nothing to be concerned about.
