Oh yeah I said that to myself the other day, and then I stepped on one of her toys, and came so close to saying smurf, but I was good, I said every F word I could think of that was not a swear word, DH just looked at me funny

I actually said smurf the other day, so Anya ran around the house saying it, she is 3, so ive been trying really hard not to swear now.

The worst is when I am in the car, I have such an issue with road rage, lol

haha ya like a month ago i called bryson you lil smurf and then he started saying it so ive been tryint to stop im doing bettter lol but hes smart and catches on lil booger lol

My sister and and I just spoke on the phone for the 5th time today about her bitch of a daughter. I call my son demon spawn or brat occasionally. *shrugs*

I say my child is a little monster or a little smurfer, jokingly ofcourse. I have never ever called them a name and meant it as a bad thing.

I don't have any kids but I don't think I would ever call a kid any names. Unless they were old enough to understand it was a joking manner.
Also, my name is Taryn too.  

I do, but only in good fun. It's awful to call your child names in meanness or even exasperation. To their face or not. If you'll outright call them names and are willing to degrade them to ANY audience, that tells me all I need to know about how you see and view them. You do not name-call (in meanness or to hurt) people you have any kind of respect or regard for.

One time I accidentally (no, really!) called my son a prick.  

I was trying to think of a playful jab (like "butthead" or something benign like that)... and all I could think of was "brat", but that just sounded too mean to me... and without thinking out popped the word "prick". Immediately after I said it, I was shocked and embarrassed. I felt so bad.

Under my breathe and out of her ear shot I've call my 4 year old daughter an smurf lol She was having a huge temper tantrum and it just spilled out of my mouth. I felt bad, we don't so much as say shut up in our house....my husband and I no matter how fustrated we get with eachother never say unkind words to eachother... well once I've called him a jerk and he replied by calling me unreasonable. I could never imagine calling my daughter a bitch   No matter how old she was.
