I think it's all in good fun and people take smurf way too seriously!

Names mean different things to everyone. I call people bitches all the time. Some women are SUPER offended by the term. I'm not.

I call my kids spawn a lot...Spawn the first, spawn the second, and spawn the third. I realized how often I said it when my daughters began responding to it...

I call Zoe monkey-butt...and I call Rue belly a lot. Pea-knuckle heads, brats...All names I use for my kids.

I don't see a problem with it!

I call my DS butthead from time time, but he's 8 weeks and has no idea.

My mom and my sisters and I all have sarcastic filthy senses of.humor so it would be pretty normal and casual of us to throw around terms like douchebag, bitch, smurfer, lol. We are all adults and hell my mom even made a joke about donkey punching haha

When SO texts me throughout the day to see how we all are, I have no problem letting him know if the kids are being little smurfers. It's nothing I would say to them and I'd never hurt them in any way. They just really can be little smurfers some days. Doesn't mean I love them any less.

I don't see the big deal about joking around saying bitch. Some people are just more sensitive about "curse" words. To me, they're just normal words and don't offend, unless said in a spiteful tone.

To go crazy over "demon spawn" is absolutely ridiculous.

I am so sorry for that. I am glad I have a good relationship with my mom now. Both my parents realized they made a lot of bad choices in how they raised us, never said "I love you", never showed affection, and they have both apologized to me for it, and our relationship is totally different.

STOP attacking people's parenting ways

DD v1.0 is referred to as Spawn, or Demon Spawn.
DD v2.0 is referred to as Lesser Demon.
And DS v1.0 is referred to as Demon Seed (as he's still baking).
We're a very Christian household, on the contrary, haha. We pray together, take prayer requests from family and friends, go to church. But, we also curse and watch awful television and call our kids terrible names, lol.
As long as its not in any sort of seriousness, there's no problem in my book. My mom and I joked around and called each other a bitch and a douche bag and all that from the time I turned 16 until now (never in public, though, thats trashy). She and my dad are my best friends and I know they love me and have always loved me more than anyone else in the world. Calling each other names doesn't take away from that fact.
