SO calls DD 'turd'.  

I sometimes talk to someone and say LO is acting like a brat or a heathen or whatever but I wouldn't actually call LO a mean name to his face.

I wouldn't use anything overly negative to my children. I'm 22 years old and would be devastated if my mom called me a bitch, even if she was joking about it.

But I don't have a problem with less "serious" names. I wouldn't be bothered by demon spawn. It's so overly exaggerated it's pretty clear it's a joke.

I call my son butthead, bootyhead to him. But to my friends I call him smurftard. But I love that smurftard with all my heart. lol.

Oh yeah my mom was the same way, but a lot has changed with that, we are actually best friends now, but my daughter knows I am joking. I actually talked to her about this the other night, and we laughed about it, and I said you do know I am kidding right, and she laughed and said of course. The worst thing I have ever called her in anger, is her first and middle name together.

I've said mine are brats plenty of times.. my son was being a total brat to his friends one day and was so mean, I said way to be a douche (not thinking about it) lol oops.. but as for being hateful and ugly, no I don't call them names.

Head out of my ass? Guess I choose to parent my children differently. Doesn't matter her age, it's degrading. I'm 30 and would be smurfing pissed if my mother called me a bitch.

She is 15 not 5. Being called a bitch is not going to harm her at all. I was called a lot worse than bitch at 15 and I am perfectly fine.
