If she wants one yes I would buy her a sex toy. It's not gross to me, it's just normal biology. A sex toy does not determine if you are going to have real sex or not. It's just masturbation, and I want our kids to know their own bodies. I mean our nearly three year old touches her vagina tells me "feels good." I just tell her "Oh okay," and go back to what I was doing. This doesn't mean she is going to try to have sex with all the three year old boys she meets now.

It also opens up more dialog about sex, educating our kids on sex is important to me. Education for safe sex decreases the chance of pregnant teens. I want them to know what it is, that it can feel good, that it can lead to STDs and pregnancy. It's better when using protection and not to have sex because of peer pressure. Taking the mystery out of sex will help our kids make smart decisions.

It would depend on the child and if we had previously discussed it. I mean, i remember being younger than twelve and just always wanting to touch myself and I was just very sexually curious. My parents thought it was wrong, repressed it so I found sex partners by the time I was 14. I'm lucky because I was always careful, but it wasn't thanks to them who weren't aware that I knew what sex was until I was 16 and they caught me *oops*
