I'm sure she will be happy either way..nothing wrong with hoping for a girl. Hell I did each time I was pregnant, but ended up with both boys lol. I wouldn't change it for the world!

I had my fingers crossed for a girl, but the day I found I was having a boy and he was healthy I was so over joyed with excitement I went crazy with buying boy stuff. lol

I'm on #4 boy. I really wanted a girl but after finding out it's a boy again I just think of the ladies that can't have kids. They would give anything for a little boy. You know. Good luck though. Hope you get your boy

I really, really want a girl too - don't feel bad. One last shot at it and I'm done, I think it's normal to have gender disappointment and it does NOT make you a bad mom.

That being said, if your going to go with the name, I would spell it the traditional Irish way - Aislin/ Aisling / Ashling - I think it takes away that trendy -lyn ending (which will look SO dated in a few years) and give you a beautiful, cultural name.

Aislin

Aisling

Ashling

I think it has a beautiful meaning. "Dream" or "Vision".

Gender disappointment is absolutely OK. -To a certain degree.

we've been discussing that cause thats why it was picked my fiance is irish... ive just always been into the different spelling like my sons name is mayson < i spelt it different so it wasnt as common .. but im thinking aislyn isnt even a common name at all?
I HAVE NO ISSUE IF IT"S A BOY! guys lol im going to b disappointed but he would still be my child i would still love him im not one of those crazy ladies that would be so disappointed i'd do something insane!! i like boys theyre easier ( usually) not as a high maintenance so i would be happy either way... i just want a girl so i have one of each
