Is it okay to take an extra strength tylenol?
And is anyone else experiencing this going into the second trimester?

Yes and yes. But always call and inform your doc.

Me!!! I've been having them off and on for a few weeks (I'm 15 1/2 wks now). Sometimes drinking sweet tea or something with caffeine helps (even though I was never a caffeine drinker prior to pregnancy), but the list my OB gave me says I can take one extra strength tylenol every 8 hours, or one or two regular kind every 4-6 hours.

Thanks! I never had headaches when i was pregnant with my daughter, who is three now. I only remember having one bad headache with her, and that was it.

I've been having them daily for 10 weeks now.
Tylenol is perfectly fine, but don't take any more than 8 pills a day and if the headaches are persistent and/or accompanied by vision changes you need to let your doctor know so they can rule out other causes.

Caffine is my best friend for this reason. I prefer coffee or tea, but soda will work in a pinch. My doc says limit it to 12 oz a day though.

I had horrible, horrible headaches in both pregnancies that didn't get better until I was further along (23+ weeks). Extra strength tylenol is OK as well as (tylenol) sinus medication and allergy pills such as Claritan. I mention sinus pills because our sinuses suffer in pregnancy and a lot of that pain and pressure could be from that. It sometimes helped take the sharp edge off mine.

Hang in there.

2 extra strength tylenol and a can of soda always helps me too.

Sudafed is safe as well!
I have found that peppermint tea helps take the edge away too for whatever reason.

Totally agree they were worried with mine that it could have been preeclamsia (sp) but because the ES Tylenol helped and eased them they were not to concerned. So take some tylenol with a lil caffine and go lay down in a dark room for an hr hopefully you feel better
